Zickt

Slack

Connect Slack to Zickt for bidirectional customer support. Route conversations to Slack channels, reply from threads, and keep your inbox synced.

The Slack integration lets your team handle customer conversations directly from Slack. Messages sync bidirectionally — customer messages appear as Slack threads, and replies posted in those threads are sent back to the customer through their original channel.

How it works

The Slack integration connects your Zickt inbox to your Slack workspace:

  • Thread sync — Each customer conversation becomes a Slack thread. Replies in the thread are sent back to the customer.
  • Bidirectional sync — Conversation status, assignments, and messages stay in sync between Slack and Zickt.
  • Channel routing — Route conversations to specific Slack channels based on team assignment.

Connecting Slack

Go to Settings > Channels from the sidebar.
Click Add Channel and select Slack.
Click Connect Slack — you'll be redirected to Slack's authorization flow.
Select the Slack workspace you want to connect and authorize Zickt.
Choose the Slack channel where customer conversations should appear.

Channel routing

Route conversations to different Slack channels based on which team they are assigned to. Each team in your workspace can be mapped to a specific Slack channel.

Configure channel routing in Settings > Channels > Slack.

Channel routing requires at least one team. Create teams in Settings > Teams before configuring routing rules.

Slack permissions

Zickt requests the following Slack permissions when you connect:

PermissionPurpose
Post messagesCreate conversation threads and send replies
Read messagesCapture team replies from Slack threads
Manage reactionsReflect conversation status changes
